Kelly Baker Henderson – Broker / GRI Certified Kelly is known in the community as a “force of nature!” She works tirelessly for her clients and manages to find time to contribute to our community in a variety of ways. Her outstanding generosity to cancer research has earned her the Joy Dirksen Baker Award, and her “Hands On” event which fights breast cancer has become an annual event not to be missed. She dotes on her son and deeply understands the importance and value of family and community. Kelly loves people, connecting people an finding the perfect home for anyone she meets! Kelly Baker Henderson is originally from Robbinsville, North Carolina and moved to Knoxville in 1984. She graduated from The Webb School of Knoxville in 1990 and the University of Tennessee in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications/ Broadcasting. She was a member of the AEHRO Broadcasting Society. In 1994 she obtained a Private Investigators License working in Corporate and Domestic investigations. In 1995 she went to work with Phillips and Jordan, Inc. in Real Estate, Property Management and Corporate Development. In early 2003 Kelly obtained an Affiliate Brokers Real Estate License and worked with John Trotter at Trotter Incorporated in commercial and residential real estate sales/leasing. She represented Buffalo Construction Company in Brixworth Subdivision located in Farragut. In October of 2006 she obtained a Brokers Real Estate License. In August 2007 She started Kelly Baker Properties LLC focusing on Residential and Commercial Real Estate and is licensed in North Carolina and Tennessee with focus on the Knoxville Community. Kelly is an event designer and is a partner in Simply Given, an event company specializing in unique events customized to every detail. She is active in continuing education in both real estate and private investigation. In real estate she earned her ABR designation in 2005 and she also attended an innovative marketing techniques class for buyer’s representatives. In 2007, she earned her GRI Designation. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors. She also volunteers with several organizations in the community such as Mercy Health Foundation, East Tennessee Technology Access Center, Joni & Friends, and is Chairman of HANDS ON a breast cancer fundraiser started in 2002. In 2005 she was awarded the Joy Dirksen Baker award by Howard Baker Jr. and Howard Baker Sr. in honor of her work with breast cancer patients. Over the years Kelly has volunteered and served the Knoxville community in various ways. She has served on the Dogwood Arts Festival Board, Volunteered with East Tennessee Technology Access Center and Joni & Friends. In 2002 she started HANDS ON, serving Breast Cancer patients from 2002 to 2014. Kelly holds several designations: Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Graduate Real Estate Institute (GRI), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) and Real Estate Collaborative Specialist – Divorce ( RCS-D).
